I need help. I have a 91 Lotus Elan. Oild was changed in April 2005 after taking it out from a winter storage. All the gas from the winter storage has been used and replenished with new Premium gas. In the past month the car has started just cutting out. When I get to a stop sign it at times just stalls. Then it may start or not. I've had to push it to the siide of the road and then miraculously it starts again. Yesterday it would not start at all. I have power because my radio and windows work. I am now afraid to drive it and do not know what to do.
Any ideas of what this problem can be?

Check for spark and fuel when it dies..any codes if they register. Run some injector cleaner to be safe. Of course there is the CAS unit tat may be going!

Are any warning lights showing up, either the check engine light (CEL), battery, or other? Remove, clean, and reattach your battery leads making sure they are tight. Do you still have power (radio, etc) when the car stalls? If your CEL has been on, a search of this forum will find the way to check the code. Search on "paper clip". Good luck! Let us know how things go.
Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated.
