Have lost ALL electrics now on my Elan. The engine will crank over but obviously not start due to this. Any advice or does anyone know a good sparky round the Redditch / Bromsgrove area, please??

just a guess but have you tried all of the earthing posts to make sure they are ok. To loose all the electrics must be more than a fuse, and as the starter motor will be earthed on its own i would give this a go first.

Have you checked the maxi fuses?

to get to the maxi's remove your stereo .
then its a black cover (about the size of a box of 10 fags)
on it side with a catch at one end...
big fuses in there..

Jim Clark S2 - 1/12. The one with the Yellow spoke wheels . No 613 on dash (pushed in to factory in wrong order 615 on tub)

Thanks Rob, ESM and Clemo for the advice. I will give these a go tonight and try not to break anything! I always seem to break something the more frustrated I get!

Clifford immobiliser. This is my guess as well now as to what is causing this.
The only electrics that do work are the ones that do not require the ignition to be on i.e. hazards and lights.
Hopfuly my sparky will fix.
