I am thinking of fitting a set of 16" federal wheels with Yoko tyres to my SE Elan. Any coments, good or bad.

I just shod the fronts with Yokohama AVS ES100. Quite happy with them.

emmmmmmmm i smell sw lotus here. done the same, not over impressed with the yokos A539 in wet greasy conditions. Would say that they are very hard wearing though

How does the car look with the federal wheels? I dont think I have seen a car with these on.

Do they still have 'lotus' in one spoke?

I'm a hater of Federal wheels = the most outdated part of the car IMHO

why not use S2 wheels which look 10X nicer ? ?

it`s all personel choice, me i`d rather spend my money on aftermarkets but trying to get the right offset can be hard work or at the very least go for the S2 there`s a set for sale in guess were the for sale section LOL.

In the 16x7, there's no offset +60 on the market that I've ever been able to find. Not happy about that. . .what happens when one of these OZ wheels gets damaged?! Grr. . . :evil:

I have a set from south west and think theyre a bargain at that price. i also think they look a darn sight better than the stock 15 inchers.
