long night

Postby stevo » Thu 11.08.2005, 02:13

went to bo'ness meeting tonight and met archie & alan and some new faces left at 11.00 in a smoothly running missy.

then things started to go wrong. :?

first my lights looked a bit dim.

then my cd wouldn't play.

then the dash lights got dim.

head lights now realy dim.

then a wee miss.

then a big miss.

cel. dead. not even hazards.

half a mile past harthill on the m8 im on the hard shoulder with no lights, no phone and a temper. got to an sos phone and got through to the polis who called the aa on my behalf.

"60 to 90min, stay out the car"

NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

30min later and i see the blue lights of a merc c32 traffic polis car pull up next to me. what now i think. :(

well to my suprise i found that the 2 polis inside were not only friendly but helpful and funny too.

not only did the let my wait in the back of there car but they let me phone jules to let her know what was happening. i was even more supprised to find that they were very happy to hear my tales of street kills and balls out driving on the public roads.(they had a couple them selves)
then when they found out that missy would have to go to a depo then they offered to take me home. we hardly dipped below 120 all the way back.

nice blokes, not all traffic polis are scum.

Sorry to hear chap.

I with Monty, sounds like an alternator fault of one sort or another.

As for the Police, one rule for them and another for us

you're certainly having more than your fair share of bad luck recently, what with your windscreen and the monkeyfcukers at autoglass, and now what sounds like your altenator.mind you getting a lift from the rozzers home was a break i think you deserved. :D
hope missys ship shape asap.

put a new battery in to get her home and to rule that out. seems fine after 50 miles. i fitted a new altenator belt 10k back. will test alt output.

cost £146 to bail her out the recovery yard, the aa better cover it.
