S2 BRG met with yellow wheels

Postby elan_man » Thu 11.08.2005, 19:41

I have a S2 which i got just under a year ago, Which is I am assuming is Lotus/British Racing green with yellow wheels. I have heard that they made it with the yellow wheels as a Colin Chapman special, is this true? and if it is a special how many did they make BRG with the yellow wheels?
Just wondering if anybody knew as I am still finding things out about my Elan.

Thanks...

You jammy sod

It iIS a special model, not sure how many were made, but I think they are quite desirable. Mind you, green is typically the choice of the more mature enthusiast.

Nice car otherwise.

yeah, thanks!--I am mature, but not old!

Ask Sy about that package; you could email the factory and see how many were made.

That metallic BRG is nice!!

Rob

The thread doesn't exist anymore but when Grayham (PM's mate) was selling his I'm sure there was a Ltd Edition number plate on the dash.

Where to start, eeerr, well yes I was at Donington this year and what a fab do it was, first time for me there in with all the rest of the M100s. The Ltd No stands at 6XX on an N reg and I am assuming that the Elan came out of the factory with the yellow wheels.

Thanks for the comments so far...

Stuart.

Reminds me a bit of the Jimmy Clark edition Esprit we see here in the states every once in a while.
Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated.
