Turbo Poll

Did some of us vote in a poll a while back, re our thoughts about a replacement turbo. I don't seem to be able to find the thread, or is my senility getting worse

That would be me.

I'm still working on it, but have been extremely busy with work and family stuff.

I was proposing a Garrett turbo replacement (ball bearing and water cooled) which I promiss I'll be working on again starting this weekend. A few options were out there. One was a direct replacement with an adapter to the stock manifold (around 225-250 HP), and others involved more performance. Also available (maybe) would be a Charge Cooler replacement. Kits would be very reasonable because of the very good prices I can buy the turbos and misc parts at.

I'll keep everyone up to date when I know more.

I have been thinking about what I would like and it boils down to quicker response times rarther that top speed, I don't know if thats in your line of thinking.

I too would be a purchaser of one of these if it also came with an engine-managment package to allow for higher boost, as I can already reach boost cut (if I disconnect my FCD) with the stock turbo.

I would be in favor of a completely-custom housing/downpipe rather than using our heavy, rusty cast-iron turbo outlet & J-pipe.
