Boost transducer pipe routing

Hi,

My brother recently had the alternator replaced on his '91 Elan SE, and from what I can understand from the various threads on this message board the garage who performed the work failed to reconnect the pipe to the boost pressure transducer (a red rubber unit located in the lefthand inner wing?).

Does anyone have a diagram, or photo of the pipe in situ? and where it is routed? I had a good look around under the bonnet and couldn't see a likely looking candidate so it's possible it's been removed and lost.

It just has to go from the orange thing to somewhere on the plenum. Soz I don't have a photo to hand. There is a connector on the end of the plenum which is quite obvious. It is right by the bottom of the D of DOHC.

I have to say that whilst I've never really gone for an Elan in red, my god your engine bay is a work of art!

Guessing that's seriously uprated.

Not seriously uprated, just a bit of bling for look and a dump valve for the turbo

Without starting a new thread, can anyone refer me to a way of ascertaining overall turbo health? Are there some common symptoms I should look out for i.e. excessive noise from the turbocharger, I'm guessing that smoke or coolant/oil leakage in the turbo area would be obvious?

Smoke in the exhaust is usually the first sign, particularly if it has been standing I think.

Oh and you don't need a part number for the pipe - any old bit will do as long as it fits and doesn't melt in the engine bay.
