Exbury,

See The Carbon Fibre Parts thread here http://lotuselancentral.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2935&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=140 Darren has arranged for a supplier of silicone pipes to the fit the C/F intercooler pipes and plumb in a dump valve. I got mine from Duncan at Toxic Rides, very prompt service and now on the pile of bits to be fitted, eventually.

I'll put your name on the list Exbury.
Its not set in stone, its just to see what interest is out there.

also interested in the hose that connects the carbon fibre inlet hose to a dump valve (not that I've fitted the DF hose or the dump valve yet). And a couple of pieces that connect the CF pipe to the inlet and air intake. Or hasn't this kit already been produced??

So as not to complicate things to much i think we will stick to just the coolant system for now. It should be possible to pick up the extra hoses you require from their site.

A rambled message i have just sent to Samco

Hi, I contacted you last week regarding the possibility of you making up a coolant hose kit for the 'Lotus Elan M100'
Thanks for the reply suggesting that if i can get 15-20 people interested you will make a kit and do a group buy.
I have posted your reply on the'lotus Elan central' website and so far (in the space of 1 week) have 10 people who are showing a keen interest.
I am quite sure we can get another 5+ people interested very soon.
1 - will you require a set of hoses to duplicate? or can you contact lotus themselves for specs?
2 - Just to try and increase the numbers interested, are we likely to receive a discount with a group buy of 15 plus ? If so any idea of what percentage?
3 - Without seeing the hoses is it possible for you to give a time scale as to how long it would take to complete?
4 - Even though its a 'new' kit can we still have a choice of colours?
5 - Is the stadard blue option cheaper than other colours?
6 - Would it be possible to deal with one person on your side so to avoid any confusion?

Sorry for so many questions, but i know i will be asked for answers to most of these (and possibly more!)from the people involved in the group buy.
Hope you find time to answer the above.
Many thanks in advance.

Paul Dixon.

had a chat with Muley at the pub last meet and he's doing all his hoses this winter and it got me thinking that I should be doing something in that department as well. Hoses on my car are original circa 14 years old and show no visible signs but who knows whats going on inside!! So put me down but dependant on cost.

Just so that I know can you list the individual hoses that you're talking about - if its not too much trouble.

Cheers Chris

Please, please, please sign me up for a set of hoses! :D

I only have one request and that is that my hoses all be black. I will pay the extra price if that request is possible. With the redo of my plumbing for the Turbo etc. I have decided I don't want any colors other than black or Aluminum in my engine compartment.

Thanks for taking this on.

Chris
Myself and Monty are hoping to strip all coolant hoses off his donor elan sometime soon. To be honest were not entirely sure how many there are at the moment. Anyone any ideas/pics??

Just hope Samco stick to their word now. I will post any info as soon as i receive any.

Turbocharger, I can see what you mean with the colours. Keep it subtle and neat. Black hoses shouldnt be a problem i wouldnt have thought.

As a side thought, you could always try the guy I get my CF hoses from, as from pervious conversations, SFS (or is that SJS) are also silicon hose manufactures, who just so happen to be made up of ex-Sampco employees.

One thing to mention about Samco hoses, their base colour is always blue & simply has your colour of choice added as a 'top' coat. So when looking end on, you'll always see the 'blue' of the core. Now if you go for SFS hoses, they use your colour of choice throughout.

Just my 2p worth.

Something's going on here. There's a couple of posts (one of mine and one of Niall's) missing from this thread.
