OK, I ordered 9 sets (2 are mine). Each is $42.50 and that includes the chrome covering. What we'll have to equally apportion (based on the number of sets you ordered, 1 or 2) is the shipping to me then on to Sy.

I won't know the shipping to me until I get the receipt, which I'll snap a picture of it & post it on this thread. I imagine it will be less than $20-USD, it all depends on the weight of the package.

Sy, please let me know when you get the fans, etc. and we'll let the speed of that judge whether to use US-postal Air-mail again or do something different.

If anyone has had a good speed/price experience with a particular shipment from the USA you can chime in with your carrier preference/method.

I called & added your red/chrome & blue/chrome to the order, although Kris had already gone home & some guy with a bloody English accent said he'd pass along the info. Those being the sad facts, I'd say you have little chance of success! Is it normal to claim to be 47th in line for the throne while drinking single-malt and shooting holes in the roof? If so, you're in fine shape.

Glad your putting this together Matt. Its come just at the right time as my HKS (big dick ) bypass valve has been sat on my original lotus wires and worn into them.
How are we paying you?

btw, i'm on hols for the next week so wont be able to get online to see about payment, i'll be back a week this saturday. (monty can pay for me if need be )

I really don't know. I'm a computer guy, not a bill collector. Since you guys have to ultimately get the wires from Sy, and he will incur some expense passing them on to some/most of you, we might have to leave that issue in his hands.

If I were younger I'd say "put me in your will", but that no longer seems like a very good idea!

What with Sy receiving the fans in 10-days or so via air-mail at $40-USD, I think I'll ship that route (especially since I found out yesterday that the local UPS store is full of arse-holes!)

All the colours look really nice. They have improved their technique of attaching the chrome braiding since my first order years ago and it is consistent & seamless and covers the entire length of the wire now. I guess you'd have to see my old wires to understand but you couldn't see the ends when they were in the engine bay anyway.

BTW, a few words having done this before. These larger diameter wires will not fit your current SP-clips. Buy 8mm to 10mm SP-clips at any auto-parts store. Buy the ones that separate 4-wires. If you want your wires to look even better than the pictures in my first post (in this thread) you'll end up clipping them like this. I tend to take things to the MAX though as I used 8 clips! Also use the silicone dielectric grease which comes inside each wire kit, as it will make removal very easy even after 3 years. Here are my wires as proof of that.

NOTE: These are my old wires; which will go on the car if I buy another red one or be sold if I don't.

I will post that & if you got 2 sets please double the per unit amount to get your total. You can just post it to my Paypal account which should be my email address matt10229@bellsouth.net - even though they will take a cut from me you can at least pay in US-dollars and not bother with going to a bank for a funds exchange. If you don't have a Paypal account let me know & we'll figure out something else.

Any amount that Sy incurs in posting the wires to you please settle with him directly.

OK gents, here's the financial particulars. Each set comes to $42.50 for the part, $1.61 to ship to me, and $8.05 to ship to old Blighty. So, for each wire set you ordered please pay a grand total of $52.16. If you ordered 2 wire sets simply pay double this amount.

The total for shipping to the UK was $72.45, and is guaranteed to arrive within 5 days, not including Sunday. That is Express mail, and was only $6 more than Airmail, which had no guaranteed delivery time. Also you can track Express mail, and I have sent Sy the tracking number of the parcel.

Now, I entered on the customs document that this was a gift, so hopefully you can avoid any VAT tax. But if UK customs opens the box & decides otherwise that is beyond my control. In any case Sy would have to pay that so you would compensate him (your 1/9th share of the booty) & not me if that happens. Sy may of course encounter strife & financial hardship in sourcing parcels suitable for shipping items to gentlemen of such worthy a stature as yourselves, gov'nor.
