Also found that Aerotek sell seperators. These are anodised aluminium, available in red, blue or silver, price is £14.52 a set. What they say is that a set comprises one seperator with 2 holes, one with 3, & one with 4 holes, can someone please explain that to me, or am i just being dumb ?

on the Elan, the nice alloy 2&3 hole separators would be under the plug cover plate, so you wouldn't see them anyway. Just buy the 4-hole ones.

I spoke to Aerotek today, & they can do just the 4 wire seperators in red, blue & silver. They are anodised aluminium, & bolt together with an allen key, & are about £6 each.

That sounds like a whole lot of money. If you want I can look into just getting 4-hole black-plastic separators like I used 8 of on my wires. I can't image they'd be much more than 50-cents per unit or maybe even less, especially if I can do a bulk buy (like a box of 100 or how ever many suppliers usually buy... whatever is packed in a "box").

If you guys want I'll look into this tonight. Donny is not until late March right? That would give me time to ship the package directly, and it will not be near as heavy as the wires were.

Anyway, unless your heart is set on the anodized ones let me know. But £6 each is like $11-each so that would be $88-bucks for a set of 8, right? That's probably the price of 100 plastic ones INCLUDING shipping to the UK!

You could always paint the plastic ones any color you want. Line-up all 8, paint 2 coats, let dry, flip, repeat.

Just heard the plastic 4-holes are 50-cents apiece. The Pep Boys would be a chrome-plated plastic & would come in a standard set holding different numbers of wires, as stated elsewhere. You can probably find them on pepboys.com to see how much they are, and a single store would only stock a few sets.

A qty of 100 of the 4-hole 8MM wire-separators for $50-USD are shipping out directly to the UK today. They know the delivery schedule that these must arrive for John-W to go to Donny. As such they will find out the shipping amount when they post these at EOD Pacific-time. I will call them Monday for a total, John_W pays me, you pays him.

Hi John. They shipped via USPS airmail (7-days estimated) Friday & the total was $58.25, $8.25 of which was freight. If you wouldn't mind putting $3 extra dollars in that I'd appreciatte it as that's about how much I lost on each ignition-wire-lead payment due to Paypal taking their cut.

The clips have (almost) arrived. The Post Office have them, but are not going to give them to me until I visit their central depot and pay customs duty of £9.80.

Everybody who wants these:
The catch is that the PO depot shut at 1.30pm and won't open until 07:00 tomorrow. It might still be on for me to bring them to Donington. I'll do my best.

I intended to set off for Donington at 8am tomorrow, so if I get up earlier than I was going to I'll pick them up before setting off. (So as a little aperitif for my 9 hour journey to Donington, I'll get to drive through Aberdeen rush hour traffic both ways for an hour).

With all costs included, this works out at a very reasonable 46p for each clip (£1.84 per set of four).
