OK,
thanks to Nitroman for sending these clips over. They arrived the day before Donington and I picked them up at 7.30am before setting off to drive south.

They were surprisingly popular and I sold more than I thought I would. There are still 64 left, so if anybody wants any, give me a shout.

They work out at 46p each including US purchase, Paypal fees, postage to me and UK customs duty. They are very light so I could sellotape a few inside an envelope for cheap onward postage.

Let me know if you want some.

Well nobody else has mentioned it so (because I've got sets fitted to both cars) I'll go there.

Enright reckons that these leads cause arking.

Just don't chuck the old ones away. I was horrified when I first fitted mine.
It may just be that the CAS was on it's way out and that's what caused my poor running and error codes, but I felt a lot happier WITHOUT lots of nice conductive metal rubbing against earthed brackets.
You could hear it zapping itself to death, and in the dark you could see it too! :shock:

I've just had my wires fitted,only done about 50m but no trouble yet.Only slight problem was the 'connecters' we had kindly sent from over the pond.They could have been a 'tad' tighter fit,but we managed to make them work.

I'm going to fit mine soon along with new plugs. Anyone had any problems with the leads arking other than Enright. Sy, Roger any probs, Enright did you manage to sort them out.

I just put them on again a couple of evenings ago and they seem to be OK now. Made very sure that they're not rubbing against anything metal though.

I think decent seperators are a must.

Roger - can you elaborate on the fitting problem? I fitted them to my Kingsbourne wires (blue plastic covered) and the only comment I have is thet they could be tighter. Nothing araldite and a few 6" nails couldn't fix.

They could have been a tad tighter but they worked out ok with a bit of adjustment here and there.They're cheap enough as Monty says!!

Hi folks, just a quesiton that perhaps someone might have the answer to. In changing the wires, what is the main purpose/goal in doing so? Is it to get a performance boost or simply the esthetics of a nicer set of wires? I'd be curious to know what the benefit is. Thanks!
