Got my act together (again) and started zooming Sj's for some basic parst for the 3000 pieces elan projects. After given through my 'shopping list' steve came back with the following comment:
'I see from your vin number that your car is a Series 1 with Catalyst. These are quite rare especially in the UK. I have only seen one! It is much more common on export cars like yours.
A couple of the exhaust parts for the S1 with catalyst are obsolete. The S1 catalyst would have to be obtained from Lotus. This would be very expensive, IF it is available.
This leaves you two choices.
1. Fit a straight forward UK specification Series 1 system. I have all the parts in stock.
2. Fit a Series 2 system with a Series 2 catalyst.
I think either ideas would work. BUT I could not guarantee this and any order would have to be at your risk.'
Would you go for option 1? ( but will get in trouble by putting the car back on plates since the car changes country) or Put S2 system under it. Any modifications to be executed? Or straigt fit?
