the things people do....
you never know though....they may have been had by the previous owner and just want to get the cash back.....
if you'd just forked out say £10k for a car that you didnt know was a write off you'd be a bit miffed to say the least...I know most of us would do a hpi check but there are people out there who trust others.....
I know its not right....but people do it (put smashed cars back on the road I mean)...they are the ones who need locking up for putting the rest of the motoring public in danger.......doesnt help in this situation but aslong as we have a network and hpi checks hopefully we can stamp this out!!!

Well Steph Peters has sold it and is selling off a front undertray and other bits which probably fell off it as the new owner drove off down the road.

Sy that number plate looks familiar, it did belong to a member off here, he actually bought my Nearside door of pinky 1 as his door hinge had rotted through. When i saw his number plate i wanted it as I`ve got AVO`s on :roll:

(if u buy it keep me in mind for the plate LOL) Can`t remeber his name, he wasn`t on the forum that much.

Originally registered overseas, was told by previous owner it was owned by british serviceman who brought it back home with him in 2002. Previous owner bought it off him then i bought it in May last year. Due to dreaded work commitments haven't had time to do any of the work i had hoped to do to tidy her up and being honest with myself can't see things getting any better in near future. Took her to Chris Foulds in June of 2005 for a check over and service then drove over to see Monty and get a replacment door which is still sat in my shed. I have a copy of the report if anybody is seriously interested. Showing 74000 miles just gone through mot with no work required. No service history but Chris thought she was an ok genuine car. Didn't bother advertising it on here cos i know how much importance you put on a full sh. If anybody is interested please feel free to contact me.

Hello there , I have a lotus elan for sale on behalf of a friend of mine some basic facts I can tell you straight away :

It’s a K reg ( 1972 or 73)
It’s a elan se sprint
Red / with gold trim
Colin and chapman special
Approx 80k
2 owners from new
Had full engine rebuild (blueprinted) around 5000k ago
Got high/fast road cams
Twin delorto carbs

No photos avaliable at the minute as I need to get to the car … its been dry garage stored now for some time .
So has no current mot / tax

Would make a ideal restoration project, or could be used as spares ??

Well my '95 S2 must be an unbelievable find as there's only been one other lucky owner & the closest it's been to a crash is my very, very slow reversing into the garage!! :lol:
