Water drain from fuel filler

Postby Hegg » Sat 13.05.2006, 16:55

So I've noticed a little hole in the bottom of the fuel filler area. I'd assume it's for allowing water to drain, but in my case, it ain't.

Firstly, is that what it's for?
Second, if so, where does it go?
Third, how can I make it drain again safely, without destroying any part of the tube and cause it to leak elsewhere?

Thanks in advance! The area gets awful full of water after a rainstorm!

Yes, it's a drain, and there's a pipe which drains out below the fuel tank area.

I pour soapy water down the hole, let it soak then use an inflator / tyre pump with a tapered nozzle to blow down the hole.
