Mine's failed. It looks like it should be off a Vauxhall Carlton or similar but all Vauxhall (uk) parts start with a nine. The lotus part number is B100M6016F. Does anyone know which generic GM/Vauxhall/Opel part this is? I think this has come up before on the forum but I can't find it now.

I had a brief look around a vauxhall scrappy for one when mine broke but couldn't find a match. I ended up taking it apart and repairing it (very fiddly) during which I cut myself really badly with the knife I was using to fiddle inside it. Doh! I think SJ sell them.

I couldn't find it on their website. I'll ring them in the morning. I've had a punt at fixing it but one of the copper contacts inside was snapped off. Avoided the industrial accident though..

For anyone looking for this part, it is now obsolete with Vauxhall in the UK. However most vauxhall parts specialists will tell you that they may be still available from Germany. I have ordered one for my MOT and am awaiting conformation of availability, it lists at 38 quid plus VAT!
Needs must unfortunately, as most scrappies are now crushing this age of car as they are worth more as pure scrap.
If it is available I'll post an update. These things getting critical as they will become show stoppers for MOTs.

Asked my local Opel dealer (near Frankfurt) and he said that the Carlton part number is available but quoted 140 Euros! (122 pounds)
This website lists it at 29.86 Euros. I have used them before for Jeep parts and found them OK.
