Just sourced a set of dark anthracite wheels, nearly exactly what i wanted.
just added Lotus centres and this is the end result.

I'm really pleased as it looks "standardish" , if you see what i mean

They look good against the black. You'l need clear side repeaters and front/back indicators to make it look even better

What's the offset on the wheels you've sourced?

They are a 17x7 Team Dynamics wheel (de-badged !) ET48.

Doesnt seem to have affected handling in my tests so far!
In fact i might even say it has made the car feel more 'neutral' through the bends.

Had a measure and i should be able to get my AP calipers behind the rims to - double result !

They look pretty tasteful, especially after seeing how similar they are to the ones on the blue Exige above.

I have to agree with Rambo though, clear indicators and side repeaters would REALLY set it off. Check out the ones on Paul.P's JPS replica for a comparison.

You could get the side ones for less than a tenner, and that would give you a good idea as to how the rest would look. But I can tell you now from personal experiance, for £150 all round including bulbs, it's money very well spent.

I'm thinking of putting a set of 17" alloys on, similar to those above, but I'm rather unsure about the correct measurements and their impact.

I know it's 4x100 17x7(j?) and the offset should be as close to +60 as possible.

Without shelling out for the wheels, then finding out they don't fit, how can I tell if they'll clear the wilwoods?

The one's I've been looking at have an offset of 40. Is this too big a difference and is it likely to clear the brakes?

Really love those wheels. Those are the ones I've been thinking about, it's just the offset that worries me. Some time ago I talked with Rimstock in the USA and they said they could get that wheel in a 52mm offset. I'll call them agin one day and see if things have changed. Too much other stuff to worry about instead of wheels right now but they sure look nice.

Thought they just looked like Exige wheels until I scrolled down and saw the Exige.

Team dynamics - they have a range that fits our cars, though when I phoned them they recommened the 16" Motorsport 1.2's as they are the lightest and most appropriate in their opinion. Similar to BTCC control wheels.

Orange repeaters imho look best on Black cars.

Any luck with the APs? I'm looking to do a different wheel and have the AP set as well. Those would look the mutt's on my white Elan!
