The OE looks EXACTLY like the MSD coil doesn't it? Even the weather seal is exactly the same, right down to the colour. If the MSD coil wasn't red & had "MSD" printed on it you couldn't tell the difference.

Just found out that our Elan M100 needs a new Ignition Coil and Lakeside Engineering say it is on back-order from Lotus and they don't know when it will be in.
So our Elan has to stay at LE until it arrives, I guess.

Good price. Good lateral thinking too - I hadn't considered that we might share parts with the Lotus Carlton.
Also checkout the MSD Group Buy thread - I can vouch for them being really good and you may be able to get a set for about the same amount. A few people are interested in buying another run in the next week or two.
Striking fear into the hearts of duplicate posts everywhere...!

Last year I got a complete coil pack for an Esprit from the Lotus spares sale, it is exactly the same as the one I took off. Part No A910E6940F
