only noticed this the other day and its a wierd one i think
symptoms are:
LHS (passenger) window switch mini light flashes, on, off for 2 seconds, on, off for 5 seconds, on etc etc etc etc
only just noticed this because when driving at night i'm concentrating on the road ahead, and during the day, well, you cant see it can you
oh yeah, also the RHS mini light stays on all the time when engine is up and running
any ideas yo uclever chaps and chappesses???
(i'm hoping it's tied into my lack of central locking, but i think thats a loooooooooooong hope)
Mick
now i have one, i just want to keep tinkering with it!!!!!!!
sorry mum

Sounds like a dodgy connection somewhere, make sure the wiring harness is conneted to the switch securely.
The both lights should be on constantly (not sure whether it's linked to the lights being on though) as they are there to help you find the switch in the dark.

those were my origional thoughts, however there does appear to be a pattern to the flashing, i just havent sat there long enough with a stopwatch to work it out.
the fact that there is a regularity to the flashes does hint at a citcuitry fault, possibly involving capacitance/resistance in some combination however i'm not that clued up on elan wiring to understand where it might be coming from.
i'll look next week to see what i can find
