I have fitted the ab motorsport gear cables and the back & forth cable seems fine..needed no adjustment, just guessed and it worked.
but the side to side cable is very sticky...and it does not want to spring to the right very much, it seems to be routed correctly and they do not cross, but if you yank the cable about in the engine bay it does free up a bit..only thing I did notice was the bush on the shifter end was very tight on the pin!
It feels as though the cable is jamming in the sleeve cause I can feel several light "bumps" through the stick as I move it as though it's catching on the windings in the sleeve!....I hope I don't have to take it all apart...
Also..the entire gear arangement seems biased to the right! i.e first is with the stick upright not slightly to the left? maybe I need to adjust the cables!
Finally...the plastic bushes that replace the rubber ones on the shifter assembly did not fit in the holes! I had to file them all down.
And I wish they would have supplied a couple of good circlips to replace the rubbish lotus ones.

Hmm, not sure about the tightness - I'm experiencing the same but I put that down to my short-shift mech. Have you had them fitted for long? Perhaps they will wear in.
The offset gear lever is definitely down to the adjustment of the upper cable. You may find that if you loosen both nuts and move it, you can not only find the central position, but it may also settle into a position where there is less internal resistance.
As for the plastic bushes, I found the same. What I did was to bolt each one securely into a drill, and then spun them up while pressing them against the hole. The plastic wore away nicely to leave the bush being a perfect fit.
Striking fear into the hearts of duplicate posts everywhere...!

They have only been on for a few days...yes the cable seems to be getting more free so perhaps it will work in.
I will release the top cable a bit and see if the gear stick moves to the left a bit more.
I just filed down the bushes until they fitted...I like your idea though! I bet it was a lot quicker.
Thanks for the advice
