I thought we'd seen this car before. Look what's been added:

"On 28-Dec-05 at 01:32:31 GMT, seller added the following information:

PLEASE BE ADVISED ALL BIDDERS !!!! It has been brought to my attention by a potential buyer that this Lotus has been involved in a CAT D accident in the year of '99. I had no previouis knowledge of this in all honesty. I have never suspected anything of the nature. There is also a mileage discrepancy recorded within the HPI register. This information is contained within the HPI registry so PLEASE BID ACCORDINGLY !!!! In response to recent questions: The car drives absolutely fine with no problems with gearbox, clutch, engine... There are no funny noises, no clutch slip, no funny engine noises, nothing. The car starts up like a beauty and the turbo goes like there's no tomorrow. There is no exterior or interior signs of an accident and I have no idea of what actually happened in '99. If you can find out for me then that would be great, please let me know about it too so I can inform the rest of you."

Yes I suppose there's nothing (like a turbo for instance) to stop the front bumper moving back like that. Or perhaps they moved it back and left that large gap between bumper and clam to air the ABS system.

just to let you know ...
tony and i from torquay (both with silver m100's) sometimes got mistaken for this bloke who drove it like a nutter .. however we knew it wasn't each other due to the large crack up the front bumper and clam that was taped together with silver duck tape...

so feel free to bid , as you will have no bidding war against me .. even if it is 4 miles from me...

I was alarmed by the seller's statement of "respray in black" so I ask the obvious "What colour was it beforehand?" question.

At least he's honest (and I respect him for that)...

The chassis and most of the car was a red Elan but the front wings, bonnet and valance were damaged in an accident and were replaced with items from a white elan which had been written off. The whole lot was painted black - hence the low reserve. I bought the car in this knowledge but have since had it checked by DVLA who are happy that it retains its original registration that belonged to the Red Elan - to quote DVLA (and I have the letter) - As the lotus has a backbone chassis, the replacement body parts fitted are only a cosmetic change to the vehicle.....
In answer to your other question about documentation - I have the Log book and valid MoT certificate both containing the same engine and chassis numbers which are ...

was gonna get it to break , but thats a bit above what i want to pay for it..
needs top clam sorting , doesn't line up with the light very well either.

JPS M100 was built from bare chassis up to create one off M100 in the mould of JPS Team Lotus

LOL!!!

I have to say, I find Medina Green one of THE worst colours for re-sale.

I was offered the above S2, in pretty much any other colour I would have considered it.

But, as said above, each to their own!!!
