Missing trim around door handle RHS.

Postby nutrocker » Sun 01.10.2006, 22:09

Hi I have recently purchased an elan through the Central web site. The car is generally in good order. but the trim is missing around the rhs door handle.
Does anyone know where I might be able to purchase one?
Is there a vauxhall equivalent?

Neville

Welcome to LEC.

Your post is in the wrong place mate, I'll move it to the interior section.
On the subject of door handle escutcheons, they're only available second hand and they're indigenous only to the Elan.

Hi, did you buy Jon Malbon's old car?
There's a breaker's yard up near Mansfield that has an Elan in, and they were still in it when I went up there the Saturday before last.
They wanted £15+VAT for the pair - if they're still available, if I were you I'd go for them!

Yes I do - I fitted Monty's old gear gables to it.
I drove it too, and it's damned quick!
Quicker than mine, which has a bigger exhaust and K&N filter fitted to it.

The breaker's number is 01623 751521. Hope they're still on it - they couldn't go to a better place.
