Service parts source and new roof seals from lotus

Hi All,

Not sure if this is the correct place but seemed pretty news worthy. (feel free to move if in wrong place) After buying my first Elan, and almost passing out when I got a quote from lotus for what are some fairly straightforward service items. I decided to shop around, knowing that the engine is the same as the Izuzu Impulse Turbo I found a supplier in the states who shipped everything direct to me within 10 days of placing the order. Everything arrived well packaged and undamaged and fitted correctly without any problems.

For peoples info I ordered the following (i'll pop the part no. up as soon as I get a chance)

Timing Belt (Gates)
Water Pump (New Pattern Part)
Idler Pulley
Tensioner Pulley
2 x Ignition Coils

For the bargain price of £150 delivered..

I've also just purchased an almost complete set of roof seals direct from Lotus (who are doing a stock clearout) for approx £100 delivered..

LH and RH side seals 3 parts and rear seal

I think they have sold out of most of these, but worth checking as almost a quarter if the price that Trim tech were doing them for.

Interestingly the bag that they came in was marked up in Proton packaging so they could be sourcing parts from them?

When you say "seals" you mean like the "A" pillar seal, LH/RH (B100V0117F/8F) ????
If so, I am more than interesting in buying a pair!!!

PS - Proton own Lotus these days which is why your bag was marked Proton
