elise drivers.......dont you just luv em......
theyre just as 'simple' over this side of the pond too......
all of a sudden the elise drive has put itsself to the top of the 'I know what I'm talking about' and 'I'm a better driver than you' and 'my cars better than yours' kinda mentality.......I'm just generalising of course...but how many elises do you see parked in fields upside down........where I live just by the A537 cat and fiddle road....erm quite a lot.....

I love it how most posts there are a thumbs up for the Elan. Next year we'll see how some of these like-minded hack Elise drivers like a certain white Elan passing them on the track. :twisted:

Though I'd have to drive in the "beginner's group" to run at the same time. :roll:

I guess you first need to agree the definition of a sports car but we could be here for an eternity.
Why can't folk stop all this nonsense and just accept both cars for what they are, the Elan an vastly underrated (and currently undervalued) sports car, the Elise a vastly ............. stop it Dave, remember you love all things Lotus :wink:

Yes. Thankfully though, there appears to be a few who have or at least know what the M100 is all about. Thus my point about people who bought a LOTUS versus those that bought an "Elise".

If they bought a LOTUS, then they probably had some inkling as to what Lotus is all about, the history, etc. I think a lot of people that own the car bought an "Elise". In other words, they didn't care (or maybe even know) they were buying a Lotus and all that stands for. They just wanted the latest prestige symbol. It just happend to be a Lotus too.

All those 2004/2005/2006 Elises and Exiges for sale with 2,000 KM on them were originally purchased by those types............. :roll:
