A post seals

Postby beegee » Tue 14.11.2006, 00:12

I have two sets left of seals, three are already claimed, one on the way and two going out today. I have a meeting this weekend with some people about the situation here and hopefully it can be resolved amicably and i will be able to get more items if needed.

A post seals

Postby beegee » Wed 15.11.2006, 10:16

Well, i have just come back from Mobis with a friend of mine who works at KIA. The end result is that i do not have any problem here at all. Mobis do not care about other peoples whining, they say that if i buy parts from them,i can do what I like with them, burn them eat them whatever, they have no concerns about it at all. I have also checked on the "A" seals availabilty(I of course do not want to deprive my fellow Kia elan owners). That certainly is not my intention. According to Mobis they have over 100 in stock,so i can get more from them if i want....

Mr Beegee
you not all time good thinking of other korea Elan people like we looking with the reverse light sale and now nothing for korea people.
I like we all helping england Elan friend but must be good thinking for all and you not all time do this.
you see under informations

http://lotuselancentral.com/forum/viewt ... &start=160

The ironing" board look" fortunately is not popular amongst 98% of us owners. Just a couple of younger owners think it looked "cool" and so put one on their car. But seeing a lot of us gathered around their car sort of "sniggering" I think has changed their minds.
Incidentally guys, Thursday I bought the last four reversing lights that are in Korea two for an owner in US and and two for UK. So the only item left now are the rear light units thats all. Also Mobis now require that anyone who buys Elan parts has to produce the car paprs to prove that they are genuine owners of Elans. that is not a problem as I can use many diffrent members papers, but the parts are running out. So no more light sets are available only the tailight unit.

Mr SY
I see you like your car looking like Kia Elan.
It is many people here thinking Kia light is much better.

Your car is very good looking and I wish you many happiness but like this chance to ask kindly please keep some thinking for korean friends and we will very much help you the same and also we ask you understand need for some controlling of parts for not make bad situation for korea people.

Please be understanding that Ron is also our friend from many years and has good thinking for all people.
He say to our members that the owner of LEC cut his user and blocking him and so now we have understanding of this I like to speak to owner (webmaster) and ask he think again about this action.

wish you and all england Elan friend good luck.

I am sure we can all survive and live happily in Elanland.
I am not willing to discuss my decision on your 'friend', either here or in a private forum. I had my reasons for my actions and I have the membership of one of the web's finest forum's to protect.

Me being the nosey type....I downloaded the two images of the receipts for the a post seals posted on here by the chap that has been banned from the site by SY

If it is of interest to anyone.. the part numbers listed on it are currently registered parts and can be accessed on the Kia parts database at any Kia dealer in the UK!

But...they want over 300 quid for the a post seal..and guess what..there are non in stock in the UK and they can't tell me if MObis have any

Lotus Seal

Postby carryondentist » Wed 15.11.2006, 23:14

Funny old thing....

I was having a look under my boot carpet (thinking about strut braces) and I've randomly found a genuine Lotus R/H A pillar seal, happily sealed in it's bag in my boot for 10years + !!

Is a single seal of much use to any UK Elan owners here?

either for a new die to be made, or to complete a project for someone?

I am quite happy to sell it on as I am fairly happy with my hood at the moment (although could live to regret that statement). PM me if you are interested, I'll also stick it in the for sale section if required.

Beegee

Having seen your problems over the last week or so I think we all appreciate your efforts.

But on a selfish front do you still have any seals left?
