El-cheapo exhaust

I wanted to get this Elan I bought registered before going out of town but first I had to get it Maryland state inspected but the muffler was rotted out. I didn’t want to pay nearly $400 for a stock muffler or wait for it to be shipped. A polished stainless steel universal type by Borla or Ansa would be nice especially at half the price but no one had anything on the shelf ready to go. Instead I walked into a local parts store and for the total price of $35 I picked up a mini glasspack muffler, 45 degree elbow, connector, hanger and 2 clamps. Within one hour I had it installed.



Eventually I’ll research a SS unit but now this set-up does the job and sounds pretty good. Actually a bit quieter than I would have liked.

pop in a new larger exhaust system and blow out your POS pre-cat and you will get more growl and power . . .

Looks like the muffler doesn`t even stick out of the back is that what u call a hidden muff

just enough room to get the dustbin (trash can) sized tail pipe in!!!!!
