Thanks in advance, Russ

Russ, I deeply apologize for that late response, but I lately have no time at all even to check this forum.

The HP numbers must be flywheels but I cant remember if a 12-15% minus was deducted or not....

I dont have the time to find-scan-upload-post the dynos now but its more than certain that the car will go through a series of new Dynos with and without NOS sbecause during the past 2 months many setup changes have been made. I will posst for sure the new ones.

Few days ago I got the Sh4rk after a few weeks at the hands of Greg doing some wierd tuning tests of which I didnt want to know about. reason for that is that due to extremely heavy work schedule I have absolutely zero free time and cant afford to get excited with the car and been mind drifted away.

The car feels fantastic, faster and more explosive acceleration than ever, all electrical problems (the ones that ruined the joy while at Dony) were solved once and for all since I replaced every single wiring cable with new ones. Now I have a Huge Grim allday long (ppl wonder if I got a new girlfriend) and I am praying to be able to join the LEC ppl at the RING dream Trip. The chances are very thin but I hope I ll manage and I still wont know till next sunday.

Due to my heavy duty work schedule I havent got time even to check this forum.... thus my absence for so long, forgive me for that, my mind is always here with you guys.

I ve been driving for the past 3 months the Sh4rk for 250km every single day because the construction project I supervise is 100+ km away from my home.

The fun I had is undescrible, you cant imagine what kind of fast cars I encountered during those days on the Highway.

Anyways....

Its been almost 2 years since the Tuning of the Sh4rk to 400+hp and I drove it for over 50.000Km!!! No problems encountered despite the "you are gonna drive the car for 2 miles then ... Boom!" comments, apart the electrical minor problems which eventually were solved.

Last week I agreed with Greg to go through a thorough engine rebuild since 50k km are too many for such a hard driven tuned car.

So..... engine is out, and most of the bits will be replaced.

New Clutch, Flywheel, Forged Pistons, Crunk balancing, Gasgets, AP Break Disks, new set of tyres etc etc etc everything that shows worn out is replaced. On top, I am doing a new full leather interior and repainting the whole car.

Bottom line is my friends call the Sh4rk "Ferrari" not only because its that fast but because it costs me the same! :) I love the Sh4rk and I am not changing it for all the cars in the world.

Wish I had the time to post pictures, but honestly, I used to spend half my day at DSP Lotus and now I am only learning how things are going through the phone...

The LOTUS ELAN has a Booletproof Engine, PROVED at its extreme way through Sh4rk. I feel that this has to be the Sh4rk feedback to the LEC forum.

Glad to hear you and the Shark are still about Costas. So how are you surviving the commute without that black speed demon?

And what details for the interior???

All the best,

Good to here your ok Costas, & we're missing your tales on here !. It would be interesting to here how the engine internals have held up over these last 50k, & how long DSP reckon they would of lasted if you hadn't had a rebuild ?. Don't be a stranger !

Got the sh4rk today, I hadnt seen hm for almost 1 month.....

Feeling is undescrible, its like I bought a brand new car, everything is fresh new in the interior and everything is replaced in the engine etc as described above. A fresh Body paint job was done as well and many thingys were added, unfortunattely my time is extremely limited and I will post detailed pictures somteime in the futute.

Just a hint, for those who followed this thread, notice any differences??? :P

another great build .. you guys are doing great things. I enjoyed the whole thread but then I read....
"First of all at the engine cover next to “Lotus” there was a word that the British would love not to be able to read it, ISUZU, shame..."
Remember that the heart and soul of your M100's are all ISUZU. That is blasphemy. Or would you guys rather have rover truck motors?.... Thats what I thought.

How can you look at all the detail in that engine bay; slowly scanning & noting each detail, and come away with ANY negative thoughts? You need counseling as your perspective is really skewed. Having done something similar but not as bold, and currently in the process of creating a 2nd "unique" interpretation, I can only marvel at and appreciate all the OBVIOUS work, time & thought spent accomplishing what he has done.

That you have accomplished nothing, yet can come away denigrating him, is only embarrassing to one person.

Costas, I can order any Florida specialty tag for $10 by filling out a request form for a sample tag & mailing it to Tallahassee (the state capitol). All such tags come with this wording so they cannot be used as the "real-deal", but are otherwise exactly the same as a standard-issue tag. This is one of the new tags approved by the state-legislature last year which became available this year. If you'd like one just say the word. I'd be more than happy to send one out, gratis. All Florida tags are of aluminium-relief-stamped-manufacture & are then painted. It will look EXACTLY like this, but of course will be real-size.

I need counseling why? I said it was a great build, and noted that he somehow felt ashamed of his Isuzu engine and he shouldnt because they are great engines. One of the reasons Lotus makes such great cars is there ability to work with other manufacturers. All I can say is its a good thing Mr Chapman wasnt ashamed to swallow his pride and source the best engineering for his company.

I dont remove the Lotus badges from my cars because that what the car is and thats why I love them.

Isuzu wouldnt handle they way they do with out Lotus and Elans wound be fast without Isuzu.

Anyways great build Costas, but be pround of your Isuzu engine.

Since I can honostly say that my current motor came from an actuall Isuzu Impulse, Isuzu made one hell of a great motor :smt041 :smt049

Isuzu dude, if you like Isuzu that's fine, like 'em. I was raised differently and probably a generation before you. If I said something negative to someone about their car at a car-show my dad would have tanned my behind.

You're pretty high & mighty on your lecture podium. Perhaps in time you'll see that other people have a right to do anything they want; and more importantly, it won't bother you. When you reach that point... you'll no longer feel the need to tell people what to do, or think.

Lets not clog this superb project with dribble

Mark, i don`t think anyone is a shamed of the Isuzu as we love there engine and with forums like this and Izone shows what can be done to this engine. I think it`s great people like u`r self who are related to the M100 (in one way or another) bring there experience here.

Now where`s Costas :-D

Nitrodude, I didnt say anything negative about his car at all. I said it was amazing and that you guys were doing great things. sounds pretty positive.

I then qouted a "magazine article" that said one should feel shame for the Isuzu power plant. I dont feel he nor anyone should. But it was implied that he was. Mabey something was lost in translation?

Also it's great and all that you point out that people can do what they want with there cars, I agree. And that once someone reaches some elevated point they no longer feel the need to tell people what to do, or think. But I fail to see the relevence to my post.

Although you were pretty quick to attack my opinion aswell as assuming you were somehow raised better than me in a different generation. thats not the grand-pa thing to do know is it.

Last reply to you sir.

Well, with this nice Isuzu engine we have, it's the first Lotus that I can look forward to having 200K+ on it ;-)
