Cooling Fans, (UK, Turbo, no air-con)

So it turns out, one of my cooling fans is siezed. That in itself condems the one fan, but to my dismay, the cowels of both fans are almost completely rusted away. certainly beyond repair.

Does anyone know which parts bin the fans were borrowed from? - Pictures attached.

***UPDATE***
Turns out they may be Renault Traffic 2.5D. Anyone care to confirm this?

Cooling Fans

Had the same problem with one of my fans, but after dismantling, a few sharp blows on the fan spindle loosened it. Ran it for a little while off the battery and then replaced in car.
Now seems OK, but intend to run every month to make sure they both run when needed in 'anger'!

The parts manual lists an alternative A100k6024F

Does anyone know where the alternative is from? I have 1 of each on my S2. The I assume that the different one is the alternative - it has a plastic shroud and modified mountings. Looks to be a better unit and is rust proof.

I'm still trying to find those bloomin Renault fans and a price..

It's a Renualt Air conditioning fan.. :shock: My 4rse..

What I know is...

Lotus Pt No A100K0017F
Lotus Pt No A100k6024F (Alternative)

Old Valeo OEM Pt No 7700795199 :-D

FrigAir Pt No 0509.1627

Aimrad Pt No 5509.1627

Renault Pt No 7700802142 Still need to check with Renault.

Valeo motor confirmed

It's the culprit, and just as rusty...

This is the fluid cooler for the Renault AR4 auto box, as fitted to some 25's...

dosent look like it'll be a source of rust free one's in the breakers yard :shock:

I'm still running with only one fan... seems to be OK for the winter :oops:

Only through a German contact... 131 Euro's estimate...

Both are good numbers, but I would use the top one..
Week - 10 days back order.

Both Lotus nubers are obsolete, but they used to cost £68 + vat

I still have other sourses available that should be cheaper...

I don't want to jump the gun, but I've found the fan assy for

£68

Unfortunately they only have one, but he's checking his supplier for more.

Just awaiting photos for a positive identification.
