Sounds dear. Why do you need to replace your window?

If it's cracked then fair dos. But Renovo plastic window polish will clear the misting - I promise you.

MER car polish does an ok job too. You are more likely to have some of that already.

Sorry, but it doesn't work for bad cases - I've tried. Yet to try the MER.

I find this hard to believe, Mark. Is there some other outside influence that has tarnished your window?
I agree that it takes time. But working in small circles, inside and outside surfaces, it should do the trick.
After all, it's only a plastic polish - mild abrasive.

It didn't work on my rear window but mine is too far gone for cleaning I think..

The rear window was in a bad state when I bought my elan - the previous owner said she'd tried all sorts of things but nothing worked. So far I've done two applications of Renovo (small circles, inside and out) and there was an improvement, but not enough to give me anything approaching good visibility - I can now see vague shapes rather than just a mist!

I think I took some before and after pictures, so if I can dig them out I'll post them.
Regards

I use the Renova and stevo tried it to. If window is way past its best Renovo will not bring it back to new. it does improve visibility but I find myself polishing the window every 6 months. "running to stand still"

Does anyone have any experience of Hindsight screen restorer? Is it really as good as it's made out to be? Before I go and blow 40 squid on a kit...

It's got to be worth a try. The next step will cost you £200 minimum, or eight long and painful hours.

Tried it, not going to get rid of the dreaded misting, but it is better than renova.
