I'm sure it's not rocket science (which is a shame, because i understand Nuclear Physics) but you can select your settings to send a copy of recievecd PM's to your e-mail inbox, therefore, if you accidentally delete them, you can still keep a copy on your ISP.
It can be a pain sometimes having to open the same message twice, but at least they are easy to recover if (like me!) you hit the wrong button - the problem is that I'm so used to automatically hitting the confirmation button on the computer, that i dont always realise what i'm agreeing to until it's too late - familliarity breeds contempt and all that!
