Restoring Accidentally Deleted Mail

Is there any way of restoring mail which has been accidentally deleted? Just managed to delete all of my mail by hitting "Delete All" instead of "Delete Marked" It's the second time I've done this now Other systems I've used put your deleted mail into a "Deleted" area, which you can then delete later.

Sorry Mark, the PM system is designed purely for contacting a person privately and as such no "trash can" was programmed for storing deleted PM's, once they are deleted they are unrecoverable.
I would recommend that those keeping important information in their PM inbox back it up to their PC in some way. Especially as when inboxes become full I believe the oldest messages get automatically removed.

I'm sure it's not rocket science (which is a shame, because i understand Nuclear Physics) but you can select your settings to send a copy of recievecd PM's to your e-mail inbox, therefore, if you accidentally delete them, you can still keep a copy on your ISP.
It can be a pain sometimes having to open the same message twice, but at least they are easy to recover if (like me!) you hit the wrong button - the problem is that I'm so used to automatically hitting the confirmation button on the computer, that i dont always realise what i'm agreeing to until it's too late - familliarity breeds contempt and all that!

He's right you knowapart from the spelling of received. In your profile under preferences, there is an option to "Notify on new Private Message" i.e. send a copy of the PM to your e-mail address.

Phew, yes, I'd forgotten about that! Fortunately I have the option set to forward to my Googlemail account which I use less frequently, so I DO have all my old mail still. 
It's worth others bearing in mind if they haven't yet set the Notify option.
