taken from Lotus Drivers Club mag- Lock mechanism fitted to the Daewoo Nubira is the same as the Elan
near side part no D96305411
off side part no D96305422
about £35 each

Do you know if anyone has ever tried one of these? I have a 1992 UK spec SE Turbo and it looks like my near side lock machanism has totally siezed.

I bought the offside D96305422, now £58.00 plus VAT from Chevrolet dealers.

Regret to say that it is not a drop in replacement, although it is clearly based upon the same design there are substantial differences.

It might be possible to make it work, but would require quite a lot of modification.

Philip,

I was at a Vauxhall recycler last week and he swore they were parts out the GM bin. He said he could confirm exactly which model if he saw he internal configuration. If you have yours out, can identify any GM part numbers 90 XXX XXX or could you send me some photographs to show him?

South West Lotus (I think) normaly sell LH & RH door locks for £10 a pair at Donny.

Only problem is they don't include the boot lock !
Ex owner of S2 no 480 and Red SE

The part we are talking about is replacement for Lotus part B100B0093F & B100B0094F.

This is a lock mechanism, not a barrel!

I seem to have lost mine completely. I have blank doors.

You could always get yours blanked off too, then get a complete respray to finish the job off :twisted:

On my elan, the passenger door lock has been forced with a screw driver at some point and it doesn't look to good. Are these the parts that I am looking for to replace it?

Has anyone noticed that this thread is for part cross-references for lock mechanisms, not lock barrels? Can I suggest that you start another thread for parts cross-references for the barrels, and leave this thread to discuss the parts that it was originally intended for...

There is a silver sticker on the old mechanism with the numbers:
16607482
89

Handwritten between the 16607482 and the 89 are the numbers "194"

Stamped into the main metal plate is: V5984 and on the main plastic moulding: 6558-6

Any news on the mechanism? Aparantly there is a small plastic bit in mine that is busted - so I don't even need the whole thing!
