Front wheel bearing

Did anyone come up with a Part Cross-Reference for these? I`ve done a quick search on the forum to no avail. Or does anyone no the manufactures number so i can do a search on the net?

I know u`ve talked about this, did u say they were a Ford part? if u could find out mate i would appreciate it.

If not i`ll just order from SJ`s and i`ll post the numbers, just trying to save pennys.

I ordered mine from Paul Mattys and got it fitted at Kenny Browns in Hillington. Kenny seemed to suggest at the time that it was a Vauxhall Cavalier part but I couldn't confirm this either way.

Will sort through all my old paperwork at the weekend, but i believe they were the same as on an escort or similar ?, nothing special, i just cross referenced the numbers thats on the bearings.

I have an unopened box with one in at home which I got off eBay.
I'll try to remember to have a look at it for the part number on it when I get back later, or just read the number off the side of the bearing casing.

Was that a Lotus part? as i`ve already listed the manufacture number above of the bearing. Need Paul.P to get intouch with his nephew to fing out which Ford it is off.

Nope, it's made by a company called PowerDrive, and has the number 311396B on the box and on the bearing (in hindsight, same as you quoted above). It also came with circlips. I've just found the transaction on my PayPal account - I bought a pair which cost £17.98 inc P&P. Seller's ID was "flipperdog02".

Thats bloody cheap, it`s just cost me bout £25 each from SJ`s how did u know that they were the right ones when ordering? do u know what other car make and model they fit? so we can get them form the dealer.

They were advertised as being for the Elan in the Lotus Parts section. No idea what other make/models they fit - the part code already quoted should be sufficient.

Found another site with a couple more Alternative numbers + says there for BMW, Opel, Ford but doesn`t give model or year.

Have spoken to nephew, he was sure the rear bearing was off an escort, & as for the front bearing, they are available from Automotive Bearings Ltd, kit number PWK 0551, & are £19.71 + vat, about the same price as SJ's.

There are lots of different Vauxhall numbers for various models, having measured the ones in the garage, they are the same as the measurements put up a while ago by Algirdas, and confirmed elsewhere.

The Vauxhall part number is 90486460

and they are easily available on e-bay

Fitted an Astra bearing last week
Not sure of other GM bearings but the Astra ones come with 2 circlips which you will need although you could get away with using the old ones - they are muckle
