I'd recommend you used a smaller, lighter solenoid, but I see you are a subscriber to the 'there's only on f in Geof Smith' school of physics: more weight better traction when braking!I finally have some carbon fibre off cuts if you still want some I'll soak them in resin.

The car doesn't have a remote boot release, so you can leave valuables in the boot when the hood is down. If there's a remote release, a thief could just reach in, open the boot, and take your stuff. Personally, I rely on this security feature quite often, and I'm glad there's no remote release. I would be sure the release is located in a hidden spot, or has a locking mechanism of some sort.
