Martin, is it an S2? If so, it's most likely your O2 sensor otherwise I'd suspect a leaky injector.

Could someone help me out with this please. i will gladly pay for their time and effort. I really need to sort this as im getting made redundant next week. The Elise is virtually sold and either Liz or i need to use the Elan as a daily driver. there is absolutly no work about even for skilled men as i am finding out unfortunatly. I would gladly take it to someone but its undrivable at the moment :(

Hi Martin,
I am in Worcestershire and have a USB interface for Elanscan but no laptop loaded with Elanscan. If you have the latter and would like to borrow the interface, you are very welcome. That should enable you to diagnose the problem.

Gareth, its the second time for me. Automotive manufacturing is a bloody nightmare now. In fact any manufacturing industry is in this country. I would fix Elans for a living but i would starve to death :-D

I believe you can download the software here. All you need is a PC or Laptop within cable's range of your car.

Martin,

O2 sensors have been bought from the US, RockAuto IIRC, some have purchased individually or there was a cambelt group buy a (fairly long) while ago sorted by Hegg... if you can find that thread the part number is on there.

I would start working on removing the old one now though.. it's an absolute bitch to remove.

Martin
I have an interface or indeed, an Elanscan laptop and interface you can borrow.
I'm off today but I'm meeting someone at Upton Warren this morning. I'll be in my watering hole this evening though.
Is that any good? You can borrow Stripey if you want - I don't use her.
Apologies for not noticing this dilemma earlier and really sorry to hear about you employment situation.
Let's get this sorted...

Simon, i will see you in the watering hole later. I only need the lead. I will try it over the weekend and see what i get. Thanks for the offer of the car but hopefully it will not come to that. I would hate to start getting up at the crack of dawn and start washing it ;-)

Can someone have a peep at this please. Its still running rough. The O2 sensor is working it did however jump a couple of volts suddenly a few times. Thoughts please ? I just started the car from cold and let it run under its own steam.

Edit, im not sure if the file is zipped right. If its not can i email the file to someone to zip it or take a look. Let me know if this works please.

Edit, post edited to remove none working attachment

Something appears to be wrong with the zip file - e-mail me the raw .ecu file and I'll have a look.
