...but doesn't it look completely badass?

Ya, so my Elan didn't follow me home from the LEF Factory Frolic meet two weeks ago. Instead I dropped it off with Simon C./SPC Design to have the rollbar assembly installed. Flew back and picked it up yesterday. What can I say, this is a great product. It wasn't cheap but if it keeps my noggin off the ground just once, it will have been worth it. Naturally I plan never to test that; for now I'm enjoying the new look. In my opinion it really updated the lines of the car and made it look like a high-dollar exotic (and a lot less like an MX5!)

If you're interested here are some more pics from the drive home. Went through England, France, Belgium, Holland, and Germany. (BTW the top speed of an M100, as-tested completely legally on an empty German motorway, is around 220 km/h with the hood up. I pretty much had to at some point didn't I?)

Thanks again to Simon/Kuching and also to Junks who I picked up a new heater core from along the way. That'll be the next project!

Looks the Dogs Danglies.

When you had the old girl up to max chat... did you find the wind is deafening and the car's nose feels like it's going to flip Miura style.

Love the Pictures, I had flash backs of when I used to live and work in Germany.

Antwerpen Kennedy tunnel, loads of noise :-D Then often missing my turn off just after...

We used to have stupid challenges:-

How fast could you get to Calais (on the old road, past the fag running shops and canal)
How fast could you get home, (Living in Dover this was an advantage)
How fast could you get on the train (I was first on empty train one day, I scared myself silly and the girl at the other end)
Top speed on the Autobahn, Mine was a 110mph (It was the early 90's...and I had a pants car)

Cool Pics
