Went to take Rambo out for a Spring thrashing today

but as I turned out of the garage the steering felt heavy. No hissing snake on full lock either, just an awful grinding sound

Garage floor covered in a pool of transmission/PAS fluid
Sod it !! A pipe appears to have ruptured somewhere near the PAS pump. Stuck in some more transmission fluid and turned lock to lock several times to bleed out any air bubbles but it looks fairly terminal. Anyone else had this problem recently and can give advice ?

Guess you were expecting a bit more than that...

If dial up doesn't let you read all the posts before the weekend, check out the

Thanks Geoff - dial up reading you loud and clear !!
I've used Pirtek before when my oil cooler pipes gave up the ghost. Good company, excellent service, not expensive etc. I think I will probably be renewing acquantance with them again tomorrow
