A Pillar Trim Screwa

Postby racerstev » Thu 05.04.2012, 18:20

I need a little help. All 4 of my A pillar screws were seized in place and needed to
be driller out to remove the trim. Can someone tell me what size the srews are
supposed to be? Are they a machine screw or a self tapping? What diameter and
how long are they?

To be clear these go into the alloy windshild pillars at the top (2 per side).

Thanks for the help!

2nd attempt!

The manual states:

Screw, No 6 x1/2inch (A075W5020F (lol))

How did you drill out the old screws, what did you use - drill or grinder? I have the same issue and currently fixed the trim back with Number plate pads cut to size.

I used a drill to take the head off and a grinder to flatten out what
was left over. I tryed to drill them all the way out but had no luck with it.

Ok, 1/2" long #6. I wonder if it's a 4mm X .7 like the mirror screws or just a
self tapping #6...
