I think I missed all the fun.. ..some bloke who posts on car forums telling us he is incredibly rich and hasn't got one of our cars?

I'll check the Rover Metro website to see if he's got there yet. He's not on any of the myriad MX-5 websites as far as I can see ;)

Shame you missed it Jim

It was both laughable and pathetic at the same time. Some middle aged Texan looking for a mint M100 at a knockdown price allegedly goes out and buys a top of the range yellow Lambo and posts some photos off the internet LOL. He reckoned the chicks would dig the Lambo better :bananasex:

Cue the LEC cynics, banter merchants and general piss takers etc....

Most entertaining topic for a while until the man with the fat fingers pressed the NUKE button and the fruitcake was no more :(

I thought it was his IQ.... or am I confusing him with me? Or maybe it's the number of account managers jobs he's had.... but that seems on the low side. Or maybe it's the average temperature in Texas.... but he probably doesn't understand Centigrade so it's probably not that. Damn you fat-fingers..... whoever you are.

I'm fairly sure in a previous post (now all nuked) that Philip Hurston of Houston said he was nearly 50 ??

Perhaps the 38 was in reference to dick size ??

I just assumed that the '38' was the number of millions of dollars he saw off the US Government for when he provided a dodgy computer system to the FBI....
Dave

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?

:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

It goes:

1. Post saying you want mint X.
2. Post generic picture of mint Y.

So, in the case of the OP:

X = Elan
Y = Lambo

In the above example:

X = Polo
Y = Trebor

Keep up at the back. The cold must be numbing your braincell.

I do try and keep up but its very hard with only one brain cell numbed by the cold and pickled in gin :(
