Fuel Filter Connectors

Does anybody know where i can get the fuel filter connector unions from?The one on the left hand side of the filter has snapped, Or if there is an alternative available

I think I remember the wiki post had a list of things to get before starting changing the fuel filter that may help you.

Depending where it snapped...

The physical metal nut and ferule at the fuel filter is standard GM but connecting it to the plastic fuel line will require some engineering.

In the US you can get bulk plastic line and several different types of repair kits that will combine two segments.

That IS a high pressure line, so whatever you decide to do, don't try to use a standard 5/16" (8mm) fabric hose to bridge the gap as it will be difficult to keep in place. You can't use hose clamps on plastic lines. You can probably get a pair of plastic to brass connectors and use a short piece of fabric between them...

Thanks for the info wish i had looked it the link before i tried to remove the filter
The nipple which the plastic fuel pipe goes over has snapped off! Any suggestions on a replacement if its a GM part

I am too used to the MGB part number - that used the GF61

I think the M100 used the GF652.

Can you send a picture so I can see what is left?

The fitting into the filter is metal, right?

I just need to remember what it all looked like.

I had to repair mine, but that was 13 years ago.

I have a box of the remains of my disaster somewhere on a shelf. I will try to find it.

I will look at the remains to see if I have the fitting.

Do you think you can get the broken section out of the pipe?

If not, will the pipe be long enough if you have to cut it off just above the piece of pipe?

Am I correct to assume that this is the fitting that goes from the tank unit into the inlet of the filter and the OTHER line is the one to the engine bay??

I've been looking at the cross-references for the filter to see if I can find the fittings from something else - it appears to be a part shared with some LandRover vehicles, and some Jaguar vehicles - but looking at a couple of specialists' websites I can't find the actual fittings shown or listed.

All I can establish is that it is a M16x1.5 fitting..... and finding a 'standard' hose barb fitting in plastic, brass or stainless is possible in that size - but they don't have the 'o' ring sealing fitting so I'm not convinced that they'll seal against high fuel pressure, and although it will fit, I wouldn't want to use it!
