Shock absorbers.

Hi, MOT time yesterday; Shock absorber has a serious fluid leak Offside rear! What would the closest to OE be for an S2.? Would it be advisable to renew the springs at the same time? Also to do both sides,even though the NSR is bone dry! All suggestions appreciated. Clive.

single used shock from scrapyard.

sensible budget option is probably the GAZ struts that pinky installed, which i have follwoed suit. pair for the rear.

my personal recomendation would be to do all around. so you get a fresh start, and you know you dont need to worry about them.

springs are optional. as far as im aware. their "streight" doesnt change over the years, but they will drop over time giving you a lower ride than factory (which most people prefer)

GAZ struts are an easy install, especially if you're re-using your old springs. How stiff they should be set to might be your preference/change over time!

I reused the rubber boots from the old strut. They help keep dust/grime out so you should reuse if you can!
