I have not been able to access WikiLEC either, comes up with site under maintenance and asks for a password which I guess is for admin.
Thanks

Is there any news on when WikiLEC is likely to be available again?

The Internet Archive's Wayback Machine has a number of snapshots of the wiki, the most recent from May this year:

https://web.archive.org/web/20240511095904/https://wikilec.com/view/Main_Page

It's a static snapshot so don't expect the search to work, but there's a list of pages at the bottom of the link above which may be useful to find what you're looking.

Might be helpful to anybody who needs info from the wiki whilst it's unavailable.

Andy.

Brilliant stuff andym :D :D.

I've bookmarked and saved this link onto my desktop 'just in case' - and I expect many others are now able to do the same...

The link posted by Andy does not now seem to work.
I am also missing the wikiLEC. It would be very pleasing to see it back in service.

Hi, the link has to work for you as for anyone else, as it just redirects you to another site, and this site (archive.org) does work at the moment (I just checked)
What does it show on your screen?

here is the full text link, but you should be able to just click on the one already posted:

What is your browser?
Is your PC clock set properly? (properly as "in September 2024" :D)

My browser is Chrome but my OS is Windows 7!
Perhaps that is the problem?
On my iPad mini 6, OS is 17.6.1 which I think may be pretty current.

I don't know much about MacOs so I would have to have a look but maaaaybe Win7 might be the issue indeed, or just a too old version of chrome? I have a Win7 on a PC at home, I will try too.

I think you could try the non HTTPS version (HTTP not secured).
Of course it's a bad idea for a website with an account but to visit archive.org, really nobody cares at all :D (but be aware all you will read on archive.org will be visible to anyone looking at the data transfer, like your internet provider, etc. But I suspect it doesn't matter too much if someone knows you are watching to the boost creep page :D). I hope chrome won't force you to use the HTTPS version. I just visited archive.org with Firefox and I can see it with the non secured version.

Thanks for that link.
Trying it threw up another impediment!
My home WiFi comes from a 4g router in which I have a Giff Gaff simcard. We are too far from the landline box to get a half decent connection so we don't have landline connected (all that should change once they finish running fibre round the peninsula and we can connect to that).
Clicking on your link brought up a GiffGaff page advising that to access that page we would have to have the adult content blocker lifted! I'm happy to say that I have not seen that page previously which I take to be a testament to the innocence of my browsing habits.
I'm happy to keep the block in place and will just have to await the reappearance of our WikiLEC or the arrival of our fibre connection or I'll try the link from another WiFi connection.

Apologies for the outage. We had a massive spam attack last year and it has taken a bit of effort to get it back to normal but it should now be working and hopefully the spammers have moved on.

Are we able to add new stuff to Wikilec?
I think there are some changes to old articles which are needed, and perhaps some new ones to be uploaded?
