manual boost control

I scanned the manual boost control write-up/tech-tip about 6 months ago but can't find it now. What I need to know is about the brass fitting. I checked both autoparts and hardware stores and did not find anything suitable for the job. What is the "normal" application for this fitting? I was thinking medical supply (normal compression fitting are not designed to be "airtight" and will leak I think). Perhaps, an aquarium supply application???

A little help would be much appreciated.

Think it may have not been moved over to the new site as MBC's are no longer the route people are taking since Alans chips are available at such a great price with real boost curves and raised fuel cutouts, any reason why you wanna still go the MBC route ?

Just a "first step." The chip is a future, but I want to get a feel for what plus 20hp feels like in this car (185??). I want to upgrade the brakes before I get serious about hp on this car. Also, a clutch change is not far off (a 1-2 speedshift produces some clutch slipage). I am currently rebuilding my type36 Elan (second time); so, my hands and budget are full. I know that a number of M100 owners have seen modest success w/this simple mod and wanted to give it a shot...

BTW, since it has to be replaced; do yourself a favor & upgrade the clutch. As you start reaching for higher HP you'll ruin a stock clutch anyway.

I can't remember the details but am wondering if it is in the MBC write-up of where Carl listed the brass air line parts to buy at home depot for a fine adjustment MBC for only about $5 . . .

Take a look at part nos:

106438 - the valve
103065 - hose adaptors

You will surely be able to buy equivalent parts in the USA.

You just take the two hoses off your boost solenoid valve & fit them to either end of the *ahem* Rob-C valve. And Bob's your uncle.

I sealed the threads on the hose adaptors with plumber's PTFE tape.
