Considering purchasing a normally aspirated M100 in excellent condition, would really prefer a turbocharged car.
Would it be possible to fit a turbo upgrade at later date. would the cost be prohibitive?

I think it would be a right ball-ache finding and fitting all the associated sensors, electrics and wiring, and you would probably end up spending more than if you had just bought a decent condition SE in the first place.

Thanks for the advice.
Hadn't considered extra sensors , wiring etc.
May as well continue the search for a decent SE Turbo.

Yes, different compression ratio, different clutch, different final drive. You would need to swap the whole engine and gearbox and then wire in all the sensors etc. Keep looking for an SE, although I do like my NA and don't see it as a lesser car, just not as quick.

Test drove an SE Turbo today, noticeably quicker than n/a car when pushed.
Could hear slight whistle from turbo. Is this normal?
Also loud "whooshing" noise from power steer pump on slow turning.
