missy started pissing about the other day with an all new intermitant missfire then running on 3 cylinders. all the plugs are clean and reasonably new and i have robby robot chrome leads.

coil?

Same happened to me. Try her tomorrow - it worked for me and it's never re-occurred.

To get back to the topic at hand - if a coil is the problem then you should run on two cylinders (1 & 4 or 2 & 3 from memory). If its just one cylinder then its probably not a coil. I'd try the remove one lead at time to identify which cylinders are firing and which not. Try not to electrocute yourself.

If you have the old leads about it would be worth trying them just to rule out a problem with the current set.

Yep, I had a similar problem recently.

Changed the leads over and the problem was still there, replaced one of the coil packs and job done!
